A Story About My Sister
My name is Jack Bottler. I have a
little sister named Sarah. We are vegetarians. One day, our parents
died. So we were taken care of by our Auntie and Uncle. And then
one day I lost my sister. I checked the whole garden but I forget to
check one risky spot – a bush of animals! I looked there but there
was no sign of my sister. After a few weeks, I saw bare feet hanging
from the trees. It might be my sister. I knew how to climb so I
climbed up the tree.
“Help me down,“ my sister said. I
put her on my back and I went down the tree. And then she told me
why she was lost, because she wanted pet deer. Then one day there
was a deer attracted to our house. And she got what she wanted – a
pet deer. And I got what I wanted, a stray kitten. And she was
wearing a beautiful dress. And then our Auntie and Uncle got a pet
lizard. And then we lived happily ever after.

Something Is Not Right
.
.
My
name is Naomi Butterfly. My parents didn’t really like me. They
didn’t like my clothes. They thought they were too shiny – I
didn’t know why. So I ran away. I thought I ran into a different
country but somehow I ran into a different planet. My glasses almost
fell off and then suddenly I saw a sign. I put my glasses back on.
It said, “It is illegal to wear glasses. No matter how old you are
you will be in jail if you are wearing glasses.”
.
Then
suddenly somebody who seemed very nice said to me, “Do you want me
to read that for you?” Quickly I took off my glasses, put them
behind me and then I said, “No thank you.” Then before I knew
it, I said to myself, “I want to stay with my family.” So, I
tried to hide my glasses when everyone saw me. And then one day, I
was talking to somebody with my glasses off. And then I put my
glasses behind me. The police were right behind me, and saw my
glasses and put me in jail.
.
And
then I pushed my glasses off and I cried. Then the police saw me
crying. Then the strangest miracle happened. He went out of jail.
Took every sign he saw and erased “glasses are illegal”. Then he
went back to jail. Then he told me I was allowed to wear my glasses.
Then I wore my glasses. Then instead of just enjoying the planet, I
walked home.
.
My
parents even changed. And I told them the whole story about what
happened. And then my parents appreciated my style and lived happily
ever after.
.
The
end.

Meagan and Christie
By Alexandra
Meagan and Christie
By Alexandra
It was the Summer. Christie had a
friend named Meagan. They always did everything together. They
called the big dipper the kite and they loved playing in the lake and
pointing out clouds that look like a certain shape.
One day while they were in the river
they were being a bit too competitive. Meagan was winning so Christie
said, “Oh yeah” and took a big step backward and was in the deep
water. She said, “Help, I cannot swim.” Then Meagan swam to her
but then they were both stuck. “I want Michael” Meagan said. “I
want my siblings”, Christie said.
Then, they saw their pets. Christie
saw her parrot named Flap and Meagan saw her dog named Scissors. And
then Christie said, “Your daughter is in danger. Save them and
Meagan too.” Then, Meagan said, “What can my dog do?” Christie
said, “I have an idea Kristie said.” So she had a treat and
wrote on it, ‘Your daughter is in danger. Please save her, and
Christie too.’” Then when Michael and the other family members
saw it they said, “Uh oh” and they all ran to the lake.
Then Michael made
a boat and Christies siblings put a stick with a little triangle.
Then they sailed and they were saved. They put them on the boat.
And then, they were never too competitive again.
The end.

Stay With Me Sister
By Alexandra Schaeffer
.
.
It was rainy. I was with my parents
and my big sister. But then, one day there was a war. Killed our
parents and then, before the war was over, a witch tickled my back.
It felt like slimy worms but it was a naughty witch. She took me and
put me on the broom and zoomed to where she lived.
.
.
When I went in the house, it was
smelly. It was exactly where witches should live. But I remembered
when I was three years old that witches get used to stink smells,
they smell their hands more often. Then she cackled and then she
said, “I will let you try and run to the house you used to live and
if it is sunset and you are not there then I will get you. And
everyday you can try and keep trying.”
.
.
I felt like
saying, “Why can’t I just do it for a day or night?” But I did
not say anything. Not a word crept into my mouth.
.
.
That day, when I was trying to get to
my house, I did not make it. I was very close, I was ten inches away
from my house, but unfortunately that doesn’t count.
.
.
The next night I tried and tried and
tried and tried. I was really close. This time I was nine inches
away from the house. But it just didn’t count. Why didn’t it
count? I felt like blaming the witch but I was afraid that she
wouldn’t give me any chances. Perhaps she would shorten my time.
.
The next night, I crossed my fingers
and then I kept running and running and running and this time when I
was only eight inches away from the house, I failed.
.
.
The next night, I said to myself, “It
is my fourth chance. I need to make it. I need to! This time I
will not cross my fingers, I will just run faster and faster! Who
cares about my sweat?”
.
So, as I ran, I kept running. Sweat
dropped out of me, and each one dropped out of me so fast. It was
like puddles of sweat. It was quite gross to me. I didn’t have
time to buy lettuce. Instead I took money from my pocket and I
through it to the grocery stand and I got some lettuce.
.
.
It was sunset, but I was very far away.
There was no way that the witch could get me. I was in the house
after three seconds. I saw my sister. She was crying. I saw
puddles and I tried tasting the puddles, they were all salty!
.
.
I took a step, I tapped her shoulder
and she turned around thinking it was one of her robots that she
invented to keep her company. Instead it was me. She cried and
cried. She hugged me and kissed me and she always took care of me.
.
Even if there were any other wars, none
of us got stolen.
The end.

I Love My Parents
By
Alexandra Schaeffer
May
4, 2018
Once
upon a time, there was a little girl who did not want to leave her
parents. But then the parents wanted to bring her to school. He
was hired to be a teacher but he never got her as a student. So they
did homeschool.
And
then one day she ordered this beautiful dress that was simple. And
then one day the package could not make it so they asked the parents
to get it. They knew how important it was and the sign said no kids
allowed and it was too dangerous if the kids were outside without a
grownup. So unfortunately they put her somewhere where she
would be babysat but she missed her parents.
The
baby sitter felt bad for her so they tried acting a bit like her
parents. They fed her her favourite food and her favourite dessert
but it just wasn’t enough. When she slept she had a very bad
dream. Her dream was that she was separated from her parents forever
but that was only a dream. When she woke up she cried. When she woke
up she couldn’t see her parents so she was worried that they
couldn’t make it.
She
heard a ding-don on the door. She thought it was her parents
but when she looked it was the mailman delivering her dress. And she
asked politely where is my parents? And the mailman politely said
back, “The dress was from a very faraway country which was three
days away. So you may have to wait for two more days. Is that clear?”
When
she heard the news she wasn’t satisfied with what she wanted so she
cried. The babysitters gave her her favourite breakfast but still she
missed her parents – it just wasn’t enough. Then when two days
passed, when she woke up her parents still wasn’t there, she
wondered where was her parents. Then she heard another ding dong, it
was her grandpa.
Even
it wasn’t enough she still put a small grin on her face. She
politely asked, “Why aren't my parents here?” The grandfather
politely said you have to wait one hour more and then you will
finally see your parents. Then her grin started to fade away and
sadly she frowned.
When
she waited another hour more she heard a ding dong, she said “It
must be my parents! It must be! I was really looking forward to
it!” Then when she saw her parents she put a big grin on her face.
Her frown faded away and she started to laugh. Her parents said, “Why
are you laughing, didn’t you miss me?” She said, “I saw Grandpa
and the mailman delivering the dress.” They said, “What? I
thought it didn’t make it!” Then the parents said, “Here is the
dress in a disappointed voice.” Then they started realizing
that they accidently ordered TWO dresses! They all laughed in
confusion! And then after they fixed the problem they lived happily
ever after!
